Love a good wood fire oven - the ambiance of the space matches it perfectly. We ordered a recommended amount per section for two people with two entrees. Love albacore light and bright, didn’t love the cornbread was really tasty but super heavy and sweet. Crab cake with the corn was a bit heavy. The peach salad was highlight for me personally with a Smokey bit of bacon. The chilli and tortillas was another highlight. Got the catfish and pork but was too full at that point to finish. The wine recommendation was spot on for what I was looking for. Would come back for another meal or seasonal menu refresh.

We just found this place about 15 mins outside of DTLA and was phenomenal! Everything on their menus was filled with big and bold flavors. Super fresh herbs. The cornbread was the best ever had. Perfectly crispy on the outside and moist and sweet on the inside. Again their use of herbs in the cornbread elevated the dish to another level! They have a smoker so the ribeye had a delicious Smokey flavor and you spread the bone marrow on it to further enhance the taste. Raw items and dessert you also don't want to skip!

Everything was so good. It really exceeded my expectations. Favorites and most unique dishes were the corn bread and smoked duck ham. Second tier of favorites were the mushroom crusted pork chop, braised cabbage, and Carolina shrimp rice. Prices can be up there... Between two people we spent about 270 before tip and round 310 after. Overall, would recommend to those that haven't tried but as someone who looked to try unique dishes I'd need to see new items before coming back but would love to see them.

No notes (ok maybe a few for the sake of Google reviews). Dinner at Dunsmoor was the best meal I’ve had of the year so far. Beautiful space, warm ambiance, impeccable service, friendly community and exceptional food. Everything feels like it’s imbued with elevated comfort (without being stuffy). I find it rarer and rarer nowadays for restaurants to perfectly tow the line of exceptional food and even better service. It is a dying art, but Dunsmoor overdelivers and fires across all cylinders. We sat at the counter, which I highly recommend, but no need for a sweater since both hearths will keep you warm. Our dinner order started off with the baby albacore crudo, followed by the country pork terrine, Edna’s sour milk cornbread (a must), Kobe beef tartare, and the 32oz beef ribeye with smoked bone marrow (also a must). We didn’t have room for dessert, which I was completely fine with because of how each of the savory options blew us away. The real pièce de résistance is the beef ribeye. I’ve had several terrific ribeyes across the city, but this one is my favorite to date, bar none. I can’t wait to go back and explore more of the menu. UPDATE - I would also highly recommend getting the Bar Burger while you still can (on the bar menu until mid-Sept 2025)!! They only make 20 burgers a night and they're only available at the bar, with first come first serve seating. So I'd recommend arriving before they open to secure your burger and spot in line!

We ordered a variety of dishes at Dunsmoor, and everything was great—but the steak, cornbread, and desserts were truly next level. I’m from the South, and it genuinely felt like I’d been teleported back home. The flavors were authentic, and the attention to detail was impressive. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with beautiful lighting that made the whole experience feel intimate—definitely a great spot for a date night. The staff was friendly and attentive, which made the meal even better. Overall: A solid spot I’d highly recommend!

Such a treat dining at @DunsmooreLA! This place is definitely a must-visit in LA right now. What makes them special? They grill their steaks and proteins over wood-fire embers, giving everything the most amazing flavor. Every dish was incredibly fresh. Already planning my next visit to explore the rest of their menu!

Absolutely delicious! Every dish was something I felt like I could order again - all perfectly balanced and well executed. You must order the albacore and the main fish - both exceptional. Service was also lovely and attentive.

Yummy spot in the eagle rock / glassell park neighborhood. Dunsmore is a retro modern eatery with a speak easy vibe but lounge feel. The atmosphere is great, lively and you share tables with others, very communal. Service was great all night, constant cleaning of tables and plates, and quick delivery of food. Everything we tried was delicious, from their bluefin tuna toast, to their dates and their eclectic small plates. Their cornbread stole the show here. The main dish for us was the ribeye and bone marrow that was big enough to serve four adults. I’m not a big fan of big steaks, I prefer a smaller cut to myself. This steak did not change that opinion. We tried their chocolate cake desert, stone fruit crumble and a home made strawberry nectarine ice cream. All yummy, but the chocolate cake was a little too rich for my taste. Has a coffee ice cream that came with it that was super creamy. They recommend 2-3 plates a person and that sounds about right and we all left thoroughly satisfied and full. Their menu changes so if you like their offering, make sure to come back when their menus change.
